Best recording schemes for UK flies, beetles and spiders

Hi folks,

I was just wondering what the best place was to log records for beetles, flies and spiders?
Is it on iRecord or via the specific people like the dipterists forum or something?

On iRecord, I notice I only get confirmations (or denials) of bugs, hoverflies, mammals, butterflies, dragonflies, bees, wasps, ants, slugs and a few others…

If I wish my records to have as big a reach as possible (and receive more confirmations / denials), is it best to log them elsewhere as well or instead of iRecord?

Different taxonomic groups have different approaches. If possible identify an organisation dealing with them (I think there are dipterists and arachnologist societies) and ask what they prefer.
