'How sure are you' selector in add observation

indeed. I am beginning to hate the whole IDea, specially as Insecta are still Other Organisms in iSpot
Much better to add the optional (becoming popular) tag AIAPP. I did one yesterday and so did Luisa
Here’s the closest book JoC https://cdn.penguin.co.uk/dam-assets/books/9780241417034/9780241417034-jacket-large.jpg

I think the tick box ( weather) you used AI or other is a good idea. Then if they tick it then the question comes up what did you use?

Then for those who didn’t use AI or another source they can send there observations without having to tick weather they used AI or another source. And then at the same time people who Have used AI or other sources can tick it then say what they used which would be more beneficial than assuming everyone has used AI or other source for every single observation and scraping the tick box asking weather they have use AI or another source or not.

That way both suggestions will be implemented and will benefit both users that have used AI or other source and those that havnt

So in response to Zo’s “what did you use” above it occurs to me that even without AI it would be quite interesting and relevant to know what source someone had used when suggesting an ID. Strictly they (or someone agreeing) should be using a source including all UK species of the particular group. Judging by some proposals I suspect this is sometimes not the case, particularly as full up-to-date keys can be very expensive.

Whilst it does not deal with ‘what book might you have used’ please consider clicking on the tag here https://www.ispotnature.org/communities/uk-and-ireland/view/observation/861891/ (preview removed)
This is an almost ideal ‘solution’ and it is optional. We few experiments with AI, we share method, reasoning and name the App. Why do we need to do anything else? Should I create an observation with a new tag Mybook?
It would be nice if more people joined in and perhaps used the tag.
