You are Donald T. I claim my $5!
How about “You are lynx and I claim 5 Bawbee”?

If they were pets they may struggle to catch prey.

High Noon: Now captured and being cared for in quarantine.
Two more have now been seen (Two more lynx spotted in Scottish woods after capture of another pair | Scotland | The Guardian)
It’s reminiscent of the “big cat” releases of the 1970s/80s - though they were probably exaggerated.
But you’d think someone would notice if their neighbour had at least 4 lynxes padding around the place…
That’s what I thought on reading about the second pair found; someone will know who had 4 lynx in the backyard.
Perhaps John, you might change the forum heading to « in the newspapers 2024-2025 » as it seems to be the current news topic of choice.
The second pair has now been captured.
Two remaining ‘deliberately abandoned’ lynx roaming Highlands captured safely
I will if someone tells me how. I can’t see an edit button.
I have just heard on the radio that one of them has died without a cause of death being stated.
I can’t see an EDIT title either, John.
It looks as if something (age, or presence of replies) disables the ability to edit a post. Even if you could edit it, that doesn’t mean that you can edit the title.
I can EDIT something I have written in a forum post like this; there’s a faint ‘pencil icon’ bottom right. But you’re right, there is a time limit on editing (28 days is possible, maybe more).
However, no sign of an icon to edit a forum title which I have originated, but maybe that’s time limited too. Or just not allowed?
I think that it’s just caught by the time limitation. I created a test thread this morning and successfully edited the title.
Back to wildlife News.
Note, the issue of Editing Forum posts & comments is not forgotten, but is being looked into in another forum topic.
We’ve now established there’s a time limit for Editing Forum titles and contributions.
.
So John, if you fancy starting a new In the newspapers 2025, please do so. Or we can continue with this forum post.
.
Your choice.
I’m surprised it took so long for them to move to Avalon Marshes, they first appeared in the Somerset River Frome in 2018 and have been spreading widely and foraging along the tributaries, into local lakes and even large ponds.
Thanks. I suggest whoever comes up with the next 2025 news starts a new thread.
