Is 1000 too many legs?

Just this minute read about this in the Guardian, Mike!
No, not too many - unless it needs shoes for a party!

It must be the stretched limmo of the millipede world.
If one had to buy shoes it would need a sea freight container to take them all home.

Wikipedia has just been updated with this information. Millipede - Wikipedia

Although the name “millipede” derives from the Latin for “thousand feet”, no species was known to have 1,000 or more until the discovery of Eumillipes persephone, which can have over 1,300 legs.
