I could easily change the observation of the month to be visible in whichever communities it might be suitable for (all communities if necessary). In your case in particular it may be appropriate to have it in both UK and global.
For anyone doing obervation of the month say which communities you want it visible in, by default I will probably just do UK.
I would like to see Observations of the Month seen in all communities.
I could (but maynât) be tempted to select the February Monthly from Global (all)
There were just over 600 UK observations in Jan, 750 in all communities (sometimes called Global)
I notice that Home-page Items are often in the Chilean Community, .There is a differences between Global (All) and Global (Col) and Global (excluding Chile and Hong Kong)
I donât fully understand how the Global works. For example, when I put birds up from the US and select Global, I can see them in the carousel. But from the UK community they donât seem to appear in the Global carousel at all.
Add a Global Observation with NO ID and it will appear - try it
It is for ALL Communities and those Observations without a Likely Banner.
My suggestion is for a THIRD carousel that shows the latest 49 Global (not ALL) Community Observations. That would be a blessing.
The second is retained for UK Observations without a Likely Banner
Thanks, Derek, that explains it.
If there are only to be two carousels, I think the Global one should follow the same system as the UK and Ireland one - i.e. show the most recent. I nearly missed AlCameronâs observations from Gambia but fortunately he wasnât sure about the yellow-billed kite so it came up.
