The unidentifiables

This project is on TEMPORARY HOLD. Any observation worth of inclusion can be linked here-on but cannot be added to the Project until further notice.
I will pick up the pieces…
The project is currently for Admin use

Have dealt with the 80+ (or was it 150) items that were in there but still about 8 left if anyone wants to have another look at those before the project is switched back to unidentifiables

OK, I have refreshed it - you are right 50 seems like 200.
I hope YOU are as fed up as me - don’t let through any modern posts without a picture!
Remember WE are dealing only with No-Pic ones - I will NOT close it until the LAST pictureless one is dealt with

Why am I the only one to ID loads of scats and poo?
13 done just now. Typically

.
I tire of people leaving scats here, in the hope.
They require soaking in disinfected water (after photographing shape and SIZE). The ‘ingredients’ are then sorted and photographed for analysis.
If you don’t fancy that then best not to ask. You could always take then to the local vet, they’d love it!
Another chus now

.

A problem you find on other topics is people (especially crackpots) who assume that if they don’t know something then nobody else does - and the related “my ignorance is as good as your expertise” attitude. In the wider schemes of things an assumption that there is someone who knows is less harmful.

Anyone near Padstow got a torch?

https://www.ispotnature.org/communities/uk-and-ireland/view/observation/798327/brassicaceae might be an interesting one to look at since I have tried keying it out using Streeter, blamey, stace and none get to an ID with any certainty. interesting that they also give flowering dates as May or June

I thought yours might be Sisymbrium orientale. It’s common here in SE London as a pavement weed and has been flowering since the last week of March. There are many in bloom now hereabouts.

Could you add some of the plants from your area too so we can compare them

Taraxacum

I am really having NO fun in the Unidentifieds projects. It’s a chore but please help. No need to be an expert in anything,

So little interest. I will scrap the project this week.
I began to demote the Obs today - they will disappear forever.

Unidentifiable

I have recycled the project but all the Tagged Unidentifiables are HERE
I will reinstate the Project when all the No-Pic observations have been exterminated
