A memorable year -

A potted (OK, cemented) history of the memorable flood years, recorded on the pillars of the Rothschilds bungalow at Woodwalton Fen:

Worth getting into an Observation. There MUST be something lurking in there!

All I can identify is Urtica dioica. (12 o’clock and 5 o’clock.)

Give it a couple of months, and Senecio sarracenicus (Broad-leaved Ragwort) will surround the bungalow - it’s one of a couple of exotics introduced by the Rothschilds, persisting but not spreading too far.

Tried to add an additional photo, but the Gremlins were having none of it:

Tried again a few hours later. I cannot upload ANY photo to the Forum, it seems.
