A significant number of elephants have been found dead with the tusks still attached so not poached.
Yet enough challenge for these magnificent animals - so very sad!
It looks like there is potential for an oral vaccine applied via some kind of fruit that the elephants will eat on sight.
There is enough people who are interested to fund such a program.
That sounds amazing if it can be achieved.
The pathogen is quite basic unlike flu so it should not be too difficult to do an aural vaccine.
