c 2030; Error 500 on refreshing changes tracker

While returning to the home page from the changes tracker.

28/02/2025 01:00 while entering the home page.

Last night Feb 27th, just before midnight my same problem, when posting an observation,
Images and location were fine
Tags stalled
Drop down menu for the ID didn’t link to the name I suggested
I could go on to add notes but error 500 when trying to send.
Trying to access iSpot at another tag was non responsive.
Hibernating the computer allowed me to carry on this morning finish off my work and post successfully.
This is a recent problem wonder what changes have triggered this?

I have a suspicion moving from one observation or page to another before the system completes the task sends the dial spinning and then triggers error 500.

I have noticed that is slows or freezes after the citizen science thumbnail has come up and then if the refresh clicked it times out on a blank home page.

C’mon guys, time to get this sorted.

Site just ā€œhangingā€ a lot and not loading - then eventually getting 500 error, doesn’t seem to be any particular pattern. It’s happening for me right now. I’ve been absent from the site for a while so it’s a shame to come back and see there are still issues. Definitely impacts the enjoyment and motivation - luckily lots of the regular iSpotters seem to stick with it but can’t see that happening forever sadly.

After an overnight exile, I was able to access the site this morning and added an agreement to Sparky’s Sea Otter observation but when I tried to add a comment the spinner started spinning and I’m in exile AGAIN. I accessed the Forum via googling iSpot Nature Forum as I’m keen to keep the issues in focus. The problems need fixing.

The person who started this thread is now back and hopefully will be looking at the comments here and other logs trying to find a pattern.

It’s frustrating when it hangs whilst going through ā€˜changes tracker’ as it’s hard to know where to start when you next get access.
