Just now, I had a good run of review of changes and a couple of comments, then tried to add a simple obs, one photo, and photo won’t load - red banner. Will try again.
The other day I used two iPads to go through some things and had the site hang up, eventually black error 500 screen on both of them. Looked at site on my phone at that time, curiously incomplete screens, not working at all.
Odd: it’s been a right sod for me today.
A new one for me this morning: tried to add an agreement and got a 404 message, went back and then got a red banner, agreement could not be added.
The site is really awful for me this morning, nothing loading, hanging for ages, even immediately after clearing cache etc, I’ll try again later.
Completely inaccessible this evening. Took several tries to respond to a comment, then shut me out of everything but the Forum.
No changes available, and main page hanging; looks like the database server has gone AWOL.
It hasn’t really improved much for me all day. I’ve been able to add a couple of observations, although I keep them brief now in case it crashes mid post, along with looking at a few posts in between the long periods of not being able to do anything at all. Such a shame.
It was going directly to the 500 error screen without a time-out for a couple of hours this evening even while trying another browser.

Was a very bad evening. I closed all my iSpot tabs so have lost place on a host of things I was working on.
I had similar issues, especially the 500 error in the evening preventing even loggin in, then again this morning it threw me out almost immediately. Will see if the programmers have any ideas why it was so bad last evening, that should give them some data to investigate.

I had the same early evening.
programmers said the issue last eve was caused by over enthusiastic bots which they have now told to go away for the moment.

Lost today’s post and unable to move on.
I cannot get onto the site at all for several hours today - unfortunately, there is nothing to suggest that it is in maintenance mode. I cannot get as far as an error 500.
Suddenly working again after another hour.
It’s behaved reasonably well for me today, but it’s just hung up on attempting to add a comment to your cranesbill observation.
It’s so unpredictable! I added several observations today, one after another, with no problems. But it suddenly went wobbly, and several attempts at another one failed. I can’t really blame it for my advancing Ingrowing Stupidity, but I really messed that one up in the end.
Yesterday, or Sunday I couldn’t get in at all- Thought it may be that someone was working on it -
What happened to those nice people who used to post messages so we wouldn’t be loading all these gripes and just overloading the site, where we could be adding meaningful observations?
Old iSpot I miss you so. You were working so well for such a long time - have you tried to be too smart for your own good?

There were at least 14 new plant observations this morning. I’d agreed to 3, and put 2 to one side to refer to books. iSpot then hung up (failed to add comment - reporting an apparent image upload glitch) on a 6th observation; also “could not add agreement” on a 7th).
Something GOOD has happened.
