Identification help please - fungus?

Can anyone help identify this purple possible fungus or lichen please? Found at 800m in Cairngorms National Park moorland/blanket bog. Clubmoss for scale.

Looks interesting, I am not sure it is a fungus or droppings. Either way you need to submit this as an observation, see button at top right of page https://www.ispotnature.org/ then people can help with the identification

I’d think droppings - you can see some seeds included. The purple colour would then by due to consumption of bilberries (or at that altitude perhaps crowberries). They don’t have the shape of grouse or ptarmigan droppings, but they might have been broken down by insects.

Your wise advice was taken. See https://www.ispotnature.org/communities/uk-and-ireland/view/observation/813415/grouse-droppings-purple
