Miked says “ at least one image”. If it’s common one image may be enough… but if it’s a plant or bee with several closely species, then one image is unlikely to show all the characters needed for us to agree.
The same presumably goes for AI ; it can only work with the information offered , which is I think, at present only images. In addition we use other clues like location and habitat. AI could do that, of course, when it’s programmed to do so.
