iSpot has been in maintenance mode for over an hour. Did I miss an announcement, or has something gone wrong?
It’s just back up, although it was said to last until 11.30am today from 8.30am. There’s been a banner across the top of all pages for about 3 days.

Do let us know if you spot anything odd about the site as several behind the scenes things were changed.
One of the things that was also added today was the new showcase feature https://www.ispotnature.org/communities/uk-and-ireland/showcases it is not being announced yet as it is mainly for schools and still has a few issues. You can try it out but bear in mind that anything added is live so others can see it. Also it would be good to follow the suggestions as to the kinds of things to write as it is aimed at schools and want to get kids thinking about these things when they look at images of bugs or make their own observations of bugs in particular.
The one I am doing on trees is mainly to test the system and has already found a bug.
