Yes, I had suspected that the seasonal uptick in usage had pushed iSpot over its monthly usage, and that it was only coincidence that it occurred when I shifted browsers.

I wonder if there is a free alternative iSpot could integrate at some future upgrade. For instance I used an app on my iPad called Maps.Me which claims to be a public domain mapping app. Not sure it is brilliant in parts of the world where there are not vast numbers of wealthy people dragging around GPS enabled smartphones with always on data connections but for the UK it works really well.

If the data underlying that is available as a website feature that might get you a free source.

OpenStreetMap? There are several android apps using its data, as well as the eponymous website.

The advantage of Google Maps is the “satellite” view - you can pick the exact building if you want to.
