Missing Image where has it gone?

Hi Mike I came across this observation by a pal of mine who has sadly moved on to another provider -

There must have been an image when Tony commented, and I’ve looked at similar pics to see what she thought she’d photographed.
Trying to tidy up the ID, which was probably incorrect, I have added a revised ID and comment.
Have asked Jayne to add the image - so will see what transpires.
Also, hopefully she will become aware that the sA community observations have not been moved (removed), but that some may have been copied to the new platform.

From their activity log they clearly edited the post quite a number of times in the Autumn, possibly the image was accidentally deleted during this process.

(Sept 18 &Oct 1) Exactly the time when the Picture Thief was very active BUGS, ERRORS and FAILURES and Bugs Alphabetical P. Any single edit ran the risk. I wonder where they went or were they just deleted by the Thief?

I looked at UK&I’s Amphib & Rep group down to 8oct2015 (11 pages) & found 3 blanks in that list , ie the cuts/medium were missing. [NB the addresses of the medium, small & large only differ by these 3 words so given one you can generate the other 2]

a picture is missing the the user would like to know if it can be restored. he has lost the original

Will look into this but it is likely to take some time as it may mean going through hundreds of thousands of images by hand.

Wow, good luck with finding it Mike
Perhaps it is one very like this in Jan 16 https://www.ispotnature.org/communities/southern-africa/view/observation/594496/on-rainy-nights-nilus-goes-walkabout-2 otherwise perhaps Peter may not have written “She’s Back” and "Agilely diving down to hide behind the pump " the same location and perhaps the same spider to look for. Otherwise it might Substitute for the missing one Tony (Peter)

Are there any images from the old ispot site that you want me to try to track down i.e. observations that had images when they were made on the old site but at some stage the images have vanished so they no longer show up on the current site. I now have access to those old images so may be able to look for missing ones.

Goodness, you and I have Inappropriated SO many pictureless posts over the last year. You may also recall having used a few WiKI CopyrightFree pics as fill-ins. We cannot search for pictureless observations but we can certainly spot them in Gallery View.
Search for Picture Thief - I will have used that expression in comments

Here’s a test

The first gallery I looked at was Marine Organism and there it is… missing…Obviously it did have a pic.
And when you have a mo. Can you FIX this (below) please. !
10 agreements against one and still not shifted Likely!

have emailed paula and finally fixed the dab after very many attempts but hope i have not caused chaos elsewhere in the process!

Great that this has been solved at last. https://www.ispotnature.org/communities/uk-and-ireland/view/observation/522/goldsinny-and-ballan-wrasse is also needs fixing

Paula has deleted that other observation, she was trying to do so by removing the image and location but now has found how to delete it properly.

That " https://www.ispotnature.org/communities/uk-and-ireland/view/observation/522/goldsinny-and-ballan-wrasse1 is also needs fixing" could be fixed by a little more reputation associated to the second ID, I suspect it does not need much more but people tend not to have much reputation in fish so it is difficult to achieve.

yes, thanks and for the goldsinny too.
There’s a lot more but one of mine here Blue-rayed Limpet | Observation | UK and Ireland | iSpot Nature
Helen has already been, bless her!
