Does anyone know in what stage the Reed Veneer Chilo phragmitella overwinters for the second time, please? Goater’s British pyralid moths says larvae September to June. But another source I looked in (can’t remember which) said it has a 2-year life cycle so I wondered if it is still a larva in the second winter.
This may be what you’re looking for, John:
Wiki page says larva takes 2 years to mature:
Ref.12 has more information and can be translated from German via the url bar.
