Love this! Donât miss it! Itâs not just for birders!
This is a question about âfavouritesâ in our own tracker.
I add as favourite any posts that I hope to come back to after a bit of thought.
There are now a lot in my âfavouritesâ and I thought I would delete them from my page. But - will this be noticed by the poster and other commenters?
If so, I wonât do it because it might seem a bit unfriendly if the poster gets alerts about it; and if it produces âalertsâ for everyone who commented, that could be very boring/annoying.
Advice awaited.
I use favourites in the same way as you described. Users only get flagged when their post is favourited and not when a post is un-favourited.
As per HB1 I believe that you are only notified when favourites are added and not when they removed. Youâre welcome to test this on any of my observations you happen to have favourited.
Thanks.
- I have just favourited & then unfavourited your 2015 post of Guernsey fleabane. It had no comments, and I had not seen it before.
second test: this is one you agreed, Lâguy, which I have âunfavedâ. Broomrape | Observation | UK and Ireland | iSpot Nature
