Shifting Banners

Time for some defeat again in the Lost Ob. Project.
I have put another block away for some rainy day…
Meantime PLEASE HELP this specially difficult one

I am storing those we fail to validate for some future opportunity
Perhaps look at this again

Unlinked ornamental cherry. One of my own here: https://www.ispotnature.org/communities/uk-and-ireland/view/observation/103067/kanzan-cherry-another . A few agreements hopefully to see it correctly linked.

Mission accomplished

:snowflake:RESCUING OBSERVATIONS
Indeed, well done everyone.
We are still beavering away. We think this would be nice in the new project (next comment)

Needs dozens of agreements

Work and Play

We are looking for nominations, perhaps add them to a note in Some favourites
I will go on a publicity drive in the New Year. Perhaps consider taking extra pictures when doing an Observation

Is still going strong. We need more help please

Yes, I found the most recent groups (Stoke etc) a wee bit disheartening? Not at first, I started at the very end but later trying to be systematic I got caught up in so many places where progress was limited, notably garden cultivars. I will do more before it’s too late. Maybe there were too many in the project with these three areas??

There is also this one: https://www.ispotnature.org/communities/uk-and-ireland/view/observation/221251/unknown-creature ???

If time permits, have a look at this lovely plant, comment made a few days ago. https://www.ispotnature.org/communities/uk-and-ireland/view/observation/776018/crocus-project-crocus-pickwick

Yes, I have two areas in the fridge for Sunday. The longs lists will be a thing of the past and I might take a rest after the next ones.
I hope @lavateraguy will pick up the Crocus and Narcissus posts

An note on agreements. I agreed an invertebrate post, causing it to become Likely. Then I realised I needed to check further and removed my agreement while I went to get a book… But the Likely tag remained.
.
Which suggests that changing the banner of an id ( say the ongoing Magpie moth post) may be more difficult than we think if the ‘agreers’ clout remains even when they are persuaded to replace it.

Yes, that’s happened to me, a few times, leaving the banner in the wrong place.
It is quite noticeable if you actually Validate (award the Banner) with the agreement (slightly different to moving the Banner). That has always been the case and may be tied into the Reputation calculation. You can sometimes see the result in the User’s profile, where the score is kept up to date - adding and removing is seen immediately in scores - both in your own and the user’s reputation.

Adding agreements runs the Code that was written in 2017, so it it’s an old post, all sort of things happen inside the mysterious algorithm.
If you link those posts here then we might be able to help ‘correct’ any anomaly.
I suppose you might return and reinstate your agreement - all will then be OK.
Of (possible) interest. when we add an an agreement it is recorded in our tracker (forever); if we remove it, all traces disappear (forever!)

A few will now arise from the Current :heart:iBlitzes
PLEASE help

Thanks Jo -
I still don’t have a name for it - but at least it will no longer be a lost observation.
