Almost a perfect post: great photos (as usual from this user), interesting behaviour. I entirely agree that seeing a “common” species doing something other than posing is a delight.

Yes, I agree. I could look at this over and over again, trying to work out what is going on in the heads of those gulls - especially the bystander who’s just shouting!
