Weekly ❤️iFocus

THIS most interesting Gall Observation has come to my attention. On a gnarled Oak tree

Can anyone add a suggestion?

Have a look at this - no agreements but comments:

It could be a crown gall.
Have a look at this one.

Thanks
I have added an alternative ID.

LOVELY photo by GarethB. The Gall iFocus is done, long live iFocus - new one tomorrow. They deserve MUCH more support.,

Gall of the Month (a new venture) is the Pincushion - find it here GALL OF THE MONTH | Project | UK and Ireland | iSpot Nature
I am UP for suggestions for the :rosette:iMonth Series It can be called Organism of the month (suggest one). Region of the Month (do you think?)

I seem to have blinked! Good subject, quite accessible and there are so many observations.

You missed phase 1, phase 3 (of 6) begins tomorrow afternoon
Some of us are loving it!

Yes, I am too, it’s lovely. Have joined in some commenting!

Playing taxi driver today, and killing time in a car park, I idly tried to modify the old carol. The result is pretty poor, but maybe someone can polish it up in time for the festivities:
On the twelfth day of Christmas, iSpot showed to me
Twelve Eyebright hybrids
Eleven fungi puzzling
Ten moths bemusing
Nine dictionary errors
Eight warblers lurking
Seven ichneumons baffling
Six galls a-galling
Five Amadan mis-IDs
Four autocorrect typos
Three newts annoying
Two vetches vexing
And a seaweed from Orkney

Absolutely love this - brilliant!

It was initially, “five invalid IDs”.But I thought that too easy a target.
